How thin was Aphrodite of Melos (the human model of her)?
Or any other Aphrodite. I curious about the height, waist, hip and bust size of beatiful women depicted in those sculptures.
This question was inspired by another question: “What’s considered a good figure?”
I.e. what proportions whould she have if she was human? I seem to recollect that yes, there was no particular human model.
Ah, my dear contacts, Aphrodite of Melos is a Greek sculpture. Aphrodite is a goddess of beauty according to myths. No offence taken.
“Larger” proportions were relative to people who lived back then. I’ve read somewhere that she was 5’6 or 5’8 which is not really tall in our days.
