Sculpting Chisel Question
Aren’t men pressured just as much as women to look good in society?
Aren’t men pressured just as much as women to look good in society? We all know that the majority of men like thin and petite women who are in shape with the nice hourglass figure with pretty faces, but don’t women like men who are in good shape as well? Aren’t women attracted to men with a sculpted chiseled body. I’m not talking about Arnold Schwarzenegger ripped, but a guy who’s well toned and chiseled with muscle and with a handsome face. I could be wrong, but it seems that the pressure is equal on both sexes. Guys are pressured to look strong and muscular and women are pressured to look thin and petite. I just don’t understand why someone think that women are more pressured than men to look good in society.
There is certainly a lot of pressure on both genders, but I wouldn’t call it equal.
Think about your image of the “ideal” handsome male. You’re right, he’s probably in unreasonably good shape, but what is he wearing? Probably some kind of suit or maybe jeans and a teeshirt. Beyond high muscle mass and chiseled features, there aren’t that many other requirements; be can be bald or not, long hair or short, clean-shaven or scruffy, very tan or a bit pale, etc.
Now think about the “ideal” beautiful woman. Rather than a comfortable suit, she’s probably wearing a miniskirt, a tight tube top, and high heels (I’ve never tried it, but it just can’t be comfortable to spend a day in high heels). Of course there are plenty of commercials in magazine pictures in which men aren’t wearing much either, but in a single image containing both women and men the men are likely to be wearing much more comfortable and much less revealing clothing. Additionally, women face a lot more cosmetic requirements; a 5 o’clock shadow on a man is sexy, but when was the last time you saw a female beauty icon without shaved legs? Short hair? Split ends? Pale skin?
Another issue with regard to body image is that it is a lot harder to be a female pop culture icon if you do not have a perfectly sculpted body than it is to be a male pop culture icon. Examples in the male category: Notorious BIG, Chris Farley, John Goodman (in his day), Frank Caliendo (a little), Fat Joe, etc. How many bulkier female celebrities can you think of? I guess there’s Queen Latifah and Rosie O’Donnel (who always takes flack for her weight unlike her male counterparts). The message seems to be that it’s OK to be a big fat guy as long as you’re a badass or you’re funny but that even a moderately chubby successful woman is an exception to the rule.
My last point to make is that there are WAY more beauty and cosmetic products marketed to women than to men. One way of looking at this is to say that they wouldn’t be able to sell these products if women didn’t want to buy them, but do you think women are born wanting to wear 6 pounds of makeup? I’m guessing if you see all this stuff in magazines and in TV all the time and how beautiful the airbrushed celebrities who wear them are, you probably start to wonder if it’s even possible to be beautiful without a drawer full of chemicals. Men, on the other hand, apparently only need to worry about smelly armpits and small penises.
So anyway, that’s my two cents.

Tips To Reduce Facial Bloating And Get A Chiseled Face
Chubby cheeks and double chins are cute on young kids but not on adults. Facial bloating is not only unsightly, but also unhealthy. Having a bloated face is a usually a sign of a weight problem. However if you are not overweight and your face is bloated, don’t dismiss it as a quirk of your body that will eventually disappear on its own. Luckily, you can take some steps to reduce face fat and get a chiseled face. Follow these simple tips to achieve the best results without having to go under the knife.
- Be careful with what you eat. Foods that are rich in carbohydrates and salt make your body retain more water, and much of the water is stored in the face, hands, and ankles. To make your face slim down, you should cut back on your salt and carbs intake. That means you must eat less junk food (e.g. pizza, burger, chips, etc.) and more fruits and vegetables.
- Use slimming makeup techniques. Apply a little bronzing or shading under your chin and along your jaw line. This makeup technique will make your cheeks appear less chubby. Study the proper blush techniques to accentuate the positive areas of your face and to conceal the thicker areas.
- Get a new hairstyle. Is your hairstyle flattering for your face? If your face looks round and your cheeks chubby because of the style of your hair, maybe you need to have your hair cut. Ask your hairstylist about the style that suits your face best.
- Drink more water daily. If you think drinking lots of water can make your cheeks bigger, think again. More fluid intake does not lead to facial bloating—in fact, the body tends to retain less water when you drink more. Make plain water your best buddy to lose face fat. Ideally, you must drink at least eight glasses of water daily. You can expect results in as early as a week after you consistently drink the right amount of water.
- Do some facial exercises. Performing facial workouts is the safest, most convenient, and most effective way to lose most of the fat on your face. These exercises offer a lot of benefits: they lift and tighten the face, tone the facial muscles, and burn fat in the chubbiest areas of the face. You can do facial exercises anytime and anywhere, and each one takes only a few minutes to perform! Invest in a facial exercise program; this little investment will surely be worth it in the long run.
- Try weight training. A weight training routine is an effective way to build muscles and to make your face firmer and more toned.
- Check the medications you’re taking. Are you currently taking prescription or over-the-counter drugs? Chances are their side effects include water retention, and this is a culprit of facial bloating. If your medications have water retention as a side effect, ask your physician for alternatives.
If you follow these facial bloating reduction tips, you can finally say goodbye to annoying chubby cheeks and double chin and say hello to a sculpted-looking face!
